Today at the IHME Days

On Saturday 23 March the programme at the IHME Days concentrates on the themes of the Heart Archive by Christian Boltanski.

The visiting speakers at the IHME Festival include: Catherine Grenier, Director of the Musee national d’art moderne (Pompidou) and Akiko Miki Chief Curator at the Palais de Tokyo. Finnish guests include: professor Marja-Liisa Honkasalo and philosopher Susanna Lindberg.

New programme: Heinz Peter Schwerfel’s documentary The Possible Lives of Christian Boltanski will be shown at 15.00.

Saturday evening ends with IHME Concert by the Avanti! Chamber Orchestra. Watch as Avanti! create a picture with the power of music, listen to music ranging from the sounds of heartbeats to the murmurs of spermatozoa.

Tonight at 19-24 is also the last chance to join in Jaakko Niemelä’s shadow artwork Shadowplay at Kamppi and Myyrmäki.
