IHME 2009 artist, British sculptor Antony Gormley is one of the this year’s winners of the Praemium Imperiale awards. The Nobel Prize of the Arts is awarded annually in the fields of painting, sculpture, architecture, music, and theatre/film. The richest art prize of the world is awarded by Japan Art Association. The formal ceremony will be held in Tokyo October 16th.
In 2009 Gormley realized a participatory artwork Clay and Collective Body in Helsinki as part of the IHME Contemporary Art Festival.
