Open Call – IHME Project 2014!


IHME Contemporary Art Festival invites together with Israeli artist Yael Bartana individuals with varieties of ethnic backgrounds to participate in the IHME Project 2014 entitled True Finn -tosi suomalainen.We are looking for seven participants that will live together for one week in a house by a lake in the middle of Finnish winter in January 2014. The participants will be given daily tasks that will deal with both cultural differences and similarities. Life in a house will filmed and as a result there will be a video art work.

The geographic area of Finland has always been inhabited by people with different ethnic and religious backgrounds. What does being Finnish mean today? What does your Finnishness consist out of?
