The voting period in the audience competition IHME in Ateneum by the IHME Contemporary Art Festival and the Ateneum Art Museum was concluded at the end of November. In the competition the audience got to choose the artist for the IHME workshop from among the candidates appointed by the festival expert team. During six weeks 800 friends of visual arts took part in the audience competition!

The voters were inspired by the theme and technique of visual artist Katja Tukiainen’s comics workshop, which received the highest number of votes. In the comics workshop participants will get to try out how they would change the world if they were a Wonder woman, Wonder man or Wonder child.

A winner was also selected among the voters for the comics workshop. Pia Talvala, from Kuusankoski (Southern Finland), will get to participate in the IHME workshop. The prize also includes a return trip to Helsinki and an overnight stay at Hotel Scandic Marski for the winner and her friend, as well as an annual pass for three providing free entrance to the Ateneum Art Museum.

The comics workshop will take place at the Ateneum Art Museum during 5-6 April, 2014 as part of the IHME Days programme. The workshop enrollment will begin on 4 February, 2014.

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all participants!
