IHME Contemporary Art Festival and the City of Helsinki Youth Department organized a series of art workshops titled IHME Re-Action, in which young people realized an artwork for the Pohjois-Haaga railway station. The workshops were led and the concept was designed by visual artist Sasha Huber. The IHME Re-Action artwork will be unveiled at the Pohjois-Haaga railway station on Thursday, April 10th, at 18:30.
The workshops were realized within the art education program of IHME Contemporary Art Festival and as part of the City of Helsinki Youth Department ‘s RuutiBudjetti participatory budgeting project. Helsinki City Transport HKL has offered the artwork a space at the railway station and looked after the practical arrangements of putting it on display.
Participants in the workshops and instructors from the Kannelmäki Youth Center will be present at the unveiling of the artwork. After the event, guests are welcome to continue on to the Kannelmäki Youth Center for coffee and cake.
