IHME would like to express heartfelt congratulations to professor, PhD Leevi Haapala, who will begin as the new director of Kiasma Contemporary Art Museum in June. The board of the National Gallery made the decision on Tuesday, March 17. Leevi Haapala has worked as curator of collections at Kiasma since 1997. Haapala left Kiasma on a leave of absence in the summer of 2014 to begin as professor of Praxis – Master’s Programme in Exhibition Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts. Leevi joined the board of Pro Arte Foundation Finland and the expert team of IHME in 2010. Good luck in your new position, Leevi!
