IHME has a new Communications Officer



Oona Simolin (MA) took up a fixed-term position as IHME’s Communications Officer on 30 July 2018. Her responsibilities include Assistant’s duties.

Oona has previous experience of communications at several organizations, including the Culture for All Service and the Finnish Heritage Agency. She has also produced cultural events. Oona holds a Master’s degree in Folklore Studies and will soon graduate as a Bachelor of Tourism Management. Alongside her work she is also pursuing doctoral studies, investigating the ways guided tours of World Heritage sites are experienced.

“I wanted a job where I can combine my expertise in accessibility, communications and event production. So, working with IHME is a great opportunity for me,” Oona says of her new duties.
