IHME is happy to introduce international public art producers and their activities on the IHME Recommends page found at www.ihmehelsinki.fi/en/ihme-recommends/. The series will continue for the rest of 2015.

ENPAP, or the Enlarged Network of Public Art Producers, was initiated by director of Mossutställningar in Stockholm Stella d’Ailly. The aim of the network is to combine forces in fund-raising and sharing of professional expertise – both producing and curating – between members. The first agents to be introduced are tranzit.ro (Romania), Urbane Künste Ruhr (Germany), KORO (Norway), Mossutställningar (Sweden) sekä BAC Baltic Art Centre (Sweden).

Identifying agents and organizations working with public art and introducing them to the public has always been an important part of IHME’s activities. Over the years, our audience has had a chance to get to know leading commissioners of public art, such as Artangel (London), Creative Time (New York), Situations (Bristol), and Benesse Art Site (Seto Islands, Japan). Learn more from the IHME Days’ YouTube links to talks by the guests listed above, and by visiting their websites (listed below):

IHME

Each year, IHME produces a work in public space by an international artist. The public is able to witness the initial stages of this unique creation. The artwork and the interpretations it evokes encourage independent thought and discussion. Art and science, past and present, meet in a multi-faceted programme of events. IHME is open to everyone who is interested in contemporary art and life.
